Nature
Lake Garda can boast a truly extraordinary and very varied naturalistic heritage, which has developed over the centuries thanks to its particular climatic conditions.
Starting from up top at an altitude of 2218 m there is Monte Baldo, known as Europe's Garden for its floral heritage, characterised by a triple mountainous, boreal and alpine layer, where there are ski-lifts and trails for mountain biking and trekking.
Moving down in altitude it is the lake that becomes the protagonist, with its ten different winds and a lake bed with a depth of up to 350 m that releases heat during the winter season guaranteeing a warmer climate, as well as colourful vegetation that is reminiscent of atmospheres of other latitudes. It is the chosen place for water sports with a healthy air for all, children and elderly people included.
Moving southwards towards Mantua you come across Valeggio sul Mincio, a gastronomical paradise particularly popular among cyclists, a natural unspoilt space that is at its best in the Parco Giardino Sigurtà, an excellent example of floral-plant conservation where it is possible to enter on a bike and be enraptured by a unique atmosphere throughout Europe.
The Parco Natura Viva on the other hand takes care of animals in danger of extinction. Here it is possible to admire about two hundred different species of animals, some of which are very rare, from all over the world. The Parco Safari area also offers a unique opportunity to see animals from the savannah close up.
You most certainly cannot tire of Lake Garda's atmosphere!
