Lake Garda

A unique area, close to Italy's largest lake. A stretch of water that characterises an area with a varying yet harmonious geography, protected by the mountains and caressed by the hills. It is where three regions meet (Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige and Lombardy), and thanks to its particular shape it has an ideal micro-climate that has helped to make it one of the most popular holiday destinations for predominantly European tourists.

TEMPERATURE LAKE AIR
December – February 6° - 10° 5° - 15°

Dante, Virgilio, Catullo and many other poets have proclaimed the virtues of an area that has both Mediterranean and Alpine landscapes and that moves from the typical olives of the South to the snow in the Trentino area, and from the scented Ligurian lemons to the pine trees of nearby Monte Baldo.

History has always had Lake Garda and its villages as protagonists: there are enchanting villages characterised by an organised architectural scheme that reveal periods spent under Venetian, Austro-Hungarian and Napoleonic domination. Castles and villas built in impervious locations, rocky villages along the coast and narrow and striking footpaths are just some of the characteristic traits of the lake's panorama.

The lake is suitable for bathing and is coloured by the sails of boats and wind-surfers that have chosen Garda as the indisputable queen of sailing sports and as an ideal holiday location due to it being near art cities such as Verona, Mantua and Venice.

It is a unique place that for decades has attracted visitors who wish to dedicate some time to themselves to regenerate the mind and spirit by switching between a bike ride to an antique village, wine tasting and a healthy and relaxing sauna.
